We would like to acknowledge the developers of the following third-party software that are currently utilized by BARON.

The following codes from the COIN-OR project are embedded into and utilized by all versions of BARON:

CBC for the solution of linear and integer optimization problems
FilterSD for the solution of nonlinear optimization problems
IPOPT for the solution of nonlinear optimization problems

Also embedded and utilized by all versions of BARON are:

BLAS, LAPACK and LUMOD for linear algebra problems
FilterSQP for the solution of nonlinear optimization problems
HSL routines. HSL is a collection of Fortran codes for large-scale scientific computation. See http://www.hsl.rl.ac.uk/
METIS for graph partitioning

All versions of BARON are additionally capable of dynamically loading and utilizing CPLEX for the solution of linear and integer optimization problems.
Under the AIMMS, AMPL and GAMS modeling systems, BARON has access to numerous additional optimization codes, including CONOPT, KNITRO, MINOS and SNOPT.
The Windows version of BARON utilizes the pthreads-win32 library.  For this library, we provide its license, source code, list of contributors, and instructions on how to modify it, if desired, and use it with BARON here.
